Jahaz Al Otaibi, a 50-year-old living in Riqqah, Kuwait, became the latest dollar millionaire In Millennium Millionaire Series 344, which he purchased online on 12 November. The father of six has taken part in the Dubai Duty Free draws for the past 15 years.
“No words can’t describe what I’m feeling right now. Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free, I can finally enjoy my retirement,” he said. Al Otaibi is the only second Kuwaiti national to have won US$1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999.
The draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman & CEO Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice President – Corporate Services Salah Tahlak, Senior Vice President – Marketing Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President – Human Resources Mona Al Ali, Senior Vice President – Retail Support Michael Schmidt, Vice President – Purchasing Sharon Beecham and Vice President – Loss Prevention and Corporate Security Zayed Al Shebli.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draws for a luxury car and two motorbikes were also held.
Fateh Al Kej, a 27-year-old Syrian national based in Abu Dhabi won the Bentley Bentayga V8 (Silver Storm) car. Piplodi Huseni Mahammad, a 53-year-old Indian national based in Sharjah won an Aprilia Tuono Factory (Atomico Racer) motorbike. And Sanju Ellath, a 38-year-old Indian national based in Dubai won a BMW R 1250 RS (Imperial Blue Metallic) motorbike.
